LO4/5 M3 New Audiences

The in which I will distribute my product, PhotoBeauty, I will use the App Store and Google play store because both if these current apps are more likely than not known to my target audience. Both of these apps are installed on to devices by default meaning that they are accessible for everyone who could potentially use the app which I will create as you will need to go through one of those apps to get the PhotoBeauty app on to the device. Once users use the google play or App Store then its straight forward and easy to use and download other apps on to their device, making this form of distribution is a fast and efficient way of getting the PhotoBeauty app on to a device. This means the audience can access the app on mobile devices or a tablet, this is because it is available to download on IOS or Android. The more accessible my app is to users meaning it is more likely to be use and have a wider audience. As my app is aimed towards a younger audience therefore distributing my app thr...

LO5: Evaluating the negative impact of my product

To make sure my product is suitable for a wider audience I will need to analyse any negative effects that could occur to my target audience when they are using the app, and how i can prevent the problems from happening. The app PhotoBeauty can cause negative impacts on the users and other people who have heard of the product. This could have a negative impact on society as by using this particular product you wont need to leave your house to go and test and purchase the beauty items, which can cause people to become lazy and not wanting to interact with people, whilst being out. In the long term it could potentially cause a moral panic as people wont have been out for so long to a beauty shop, where you need to test your shades etc, after using the app, people may get anxiety when they need to get a member of staff to help them choose out which products will best suit them. Another issue is that if people aren’t going in to stores such as Boots, then it can negatively effect the amount...

LO4: Be able to create a proposal using converging technologies to exploit the identified new marks

The main idea for my product is to create an interactive app that allows you to upload images of your face which then you can try different shad of beauty items on your face, such as foundation to match your skin tone. This app will feature lots of different makeup items, in order to get the perfect colour or shade, if they are wanting to make a beauty change. I thought of this app as it will prevent people ordering the wrong shades of products and wasting them because they will not be able to send them back as they have been used so it wouldn’t be sanitary for someone else to then use that product, if you were able to send the back.  For the design and colour scheme of my app I took inspiration from Beautybay’s website. The reasoning for choosing this successful website is that it relates to what my app is for, beauty, and has the same target audience as the PhotoBeauty app. Therefore, by using the same design my app should reach the correct audience demographic, in order to make ...

LO5: Evaluation of feedback

To improve my production of PhotoBeauty I will need to take into consideration of the following feedback in order to make it interesting and engaging with my target audience. Based on the feedback that I was given, the main part my presentation which people liked about my app is that they believe my product would be useful as well as the idea is unique but it allows its audience to be creative with your appearance before purchasing the products to create the looks in real life. The way in which I presented my idea it made my peers and Anne believe that my idea for PhotoBeauty is realistic and could potentially work if I was to create this app. From the feedback it also showed that the app fit with the target audience that I presented, therefore the app will appeal to the specific demographic of people my app was aimed for. The feedback to improve my product suggested that I should change the logo of the app to make it more distinguishable, so it would make my product more known to an a...

LO5: Feedback Anne Doncaster and my peers

Image
The feedback which I got back from Anne is that I could: - Make a QR code that can be put in beauty shops such as Boots and Superdrug that you can link directly to the app which will include the different brands and products which are seen in store. - I could add AR technology so the image of the users head can move and you can see a 360 view of the product on the users face
