The growth and development of social media the evolution of media organisations has changed the market place, meaning diversification of existing industries, due to globalisation. Globalisation is the distribution, production and consumption of a media product on a global scale. The media can now reach a larger and wider audience by using the internet making it more accessible for everyone all over the world, as technology is growing, so people market products can now advertise their different product online for more people to see. Before technology and social media it was limited to who organisations could reach due to not being able to be accessible to many different countries, so products were harder to advertise, therefore the company wouldn’t be as successful.
